3 ERP programs to use in our Ubuntu

Events such as OpenExpo Day remind me that there is not only software for office automation and multimedia in Ubuntu, but also business solutions such as ERP software that work very well. That is why I wanted to talk today about three ERP programs that work very well, are totally free and can be used in any version and / or flavor of Ubuntu.

I have selected the three most famous and most used programs since in case of problem, any of these three programs has a large community that can help us quickly.

The first is Openbravo. Is maybe the most popular software since it has not changed its name in recent years. The good thing about this software is that it has an ATM version that helps us transform any computer with a touch screen or any tablet into a powerful cash register. In addition, it also has a support service that we can hire although the software is totally free and open source.

The second of them is called WebERP. This SCHEDULE It is an ERP software that is installed on a Web server such as WordPress or Joomla. The interesting thing about this software is that you can install it on a server and connect remotely without needing a large computer. It is quite functional software but it does not have (or at least I have not found it) a CRM module. In addition, if it is installed on a single computer, the LAMP software must be installed first.

The third software is called Odoo, formerly known as OpenERP and previously known as TinyERP. It is one of the oldest and with an incredible Community and supports. It is also the most used by companies and is found in the official Ubuntu repositories, so it can be installed through the Ubuntu Software Center (although it still appears with OpenERP in the repositories). What's more Odoo It has a multitude of plugins that connect to the system to give more functionalities such as Google Calendar, other CRMs, online stores, etc ...

There is almost one ERP program for each company, you just have to look for it

Personally, if I have to choose, I would first use a virtual machine with these three systems and I would test one by one and enter false data to see if it works according to our needs. It is true that if we want to use a cash register and we want to save your purchase, OpenBravo is the solution but if we want to have the most complete with many functions, Odoo is the answer. As you can see, it all depends on our needs but any of the three adapt to many situations. You just have to try.

Good info. I'll start by testing openBravo

Openbravo is more proprietary than free, as well as being very heavy and slow. I definitely recommend OpenERP / Odoo, although like all ERPs, it is quite complex.

I already know that ERPs are out there, but I want to mention FacturaScripts, for the following reasons:
    - It's free software.
    - You only need php5 and MySQL to run it, that is, you can install it on any hosting.
    - It has a responsive design, you can use it comfortably from your PC, tablet or mobile.
    - Has constant updates.
    - It has a powerful plugin system.
    - I am the creator.

An ERP is not the same as a billing program.
To invoice, with php and mysql there is already a program that meets all the specifications you mention, it is called invoiceplane and you can try it and download it at http://www.invoiceplane.com

I really don't understand your answer ... As invoiceplane already exists, I can't develop FacturaScripts?

Invoicescripts is super powerful, I have it implemented in my company and it is the best. Also, if you are a developer, it also has a fairly well-crafted framework.
