The final version of Firefox 56 is officially released

The team that is in charge of maintaining the PPA “Mozilla Security Team”Is pleased to announce the new final version 56.0 of the Mozilla Firefox web browser, in this new version add cosmetic changes and improvements in the browser interface.

Within those changes browser customization is unified in a menu with four options among which we find General, Search, Privacy and Security, and Firefox Account, in addition to that, add a new feature to take screenshots in the browser.

The new feature of screenshot allows us to take screenshots of a web page, allowing us in addition to being able to save the image not only on our computer but we can also store it in the cloud for a maximum of 14 days with the possibility of being able to share it on our social networks.

While in the Firefox customization tool we find:

General.

  • Browser startup options
  •  Languages and Appearance
  • Files and Applications
  • Firefox Updates
  • Performance
  • Navigation
  • Proxies configuration

Buscar

  • Configure the browser's default search engine

Privacy & Security

  • Password manager
  • Browser history manager
  • Manager for the address bar
  • Configure the browser cache
  • Configure web crawling options
  • Manager to configure notification and download permissions for add-ons from websites
  • Manager to configure browser telemetry options
  • Options to configure protection against phishing, certificates, and data storage without a web connection

Firefox account

  • Manager to manage the Firefox account by the user, customize the data synchronization options, and configure the name of the team.

Another important implementation, which I consider to be very good, is that multimedia contents cannot be executed automatically if they are opened in a new background tab.
