It is not official, but Ubuntu 20.04 has already revealed what its wallpaper will be

Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa Wallpaper

About a month before the release of a new version of Ubuntu, Canonical usually warms up by posting its wallpaper. It is then when we can think that things get really serious, at that moment and when they launch the first beta of the operating system. I don't recall them ever doing what they've done this time: Martin Wimpress, part of the Canonical, GNOME development team and the main responsible for Ubuntu MATE, has posted the wallpaper for Ubuntu LTS 20.04 Focus Fossa.

It is not the official presentation because it has not been made by Canonical, but we can be sure that we are before the background that will include by default Focal Fossa. We are sure because the company that runs Mark Shuttleworth has published part of the wallpaper, more specifically part of the version in gray tones in which we can see the look of LA Fossa that will watch us from April 2020. And it is that According to Wimpress, the animal is female.

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS shows a much more defined animal on its wallpaper

We remember that «Focal» means centered or that focuses on something. This is probably why these points are sticking out of both eyes in a straight line, because it is "centered on something." Shortly after Canonical posted the above tweet from the official Ubuntu account, Wimpress has published this other tweet in which we can see both the wallpaper, the window manager and the emoji selector of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Some say that her name is Felicity and she shoots lasers with her eyes. All we know is that this is Focal Fossa's new pet! #Ubuntu

As you can see, if we compare the funds of the last three operating systems, which are Disco Dingo (image here), Eoan Ermine (image here) and the upcoming Focal Fossa, it seems Ubuntu is offering increasingly realistic creations o less abstract. Personally, I loved Disco Dingo's background, Eoan Ermine's was acceptable but this one from Focal Fossa… well, I have yet to decide. As soon as I saw it, I felt that I did not like it.

Canonical will officially reveal the wallpaper in mid-March, at which point we can download the images and add them to the Daily Builds of the operating system. Focal Fossa will be officially launched on April 23. What do you think of the wallpaper that Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is going to have?
