Antonio, that's the bottom line of Puppy Linux isn't it? It is very good and relaxing.

    1.    Antonio said

It is certainly from Puppy Linux, although correctly with what you have said it is good to relax and not get mad at the PC.

Ufff ... I still have the same problem: You have a terrible plugin | script | whatever to zoom in on images, no matter how "web 2.0" or pretty, it doesn't work. I would have liked to appreciate the details of some images ... u_u

Or maybe it happens that you lower the resolution yourself.

I hope you don't take it the wrong way, in the end it's your blog and do what you want, I'm just a very demanding user (and fan of your blog) 😉

    Greetings.

    1.    Juan M. said

I agree with Ramon, but I also understand the broadband load that I demand. The problem is that many upload it in bmp or png and weigh about 2mb, for me the ideal is to leave the resolution as this and compress the jpg to 90%, and they are left with a weight of 250-300kb and excellent quality.

Here I leave my desks in high resolution.

The problem is how Juan M says that some captures and they weigh almost 2 mb, the method that I use to lower the resolution to an acceptable quality is the GIMP saveforweb plugin (please if you know another way tell me) that eg. for a 2,3mb 😯 capture with the plugin's default compression it leaves me a 400kB jpg. and it seems a lot to me, that's why the resizing.

The idea, I think I said it last month, is that you are not loading the post for 15 minutes, because you will not like it either 😉 but I promise to do a test next month applying the gimp plugin without resizing.

Regarding the zoom of the images, your capture is not resized because it was not heavy, you will see that when zooming it is not the original size, the question is, is that size useful to see the details of the capture well? If it doesn't work, we stop using the zoom.
        regards

        1.    Ramon said

An option that I would consider is to only give some not-so-big-nor-so-small images as a sample and that link to the original size image on your flickr account.

I don't know how much capacity you currently have on flickr, I stopped using it about 3-4 years ago, at that time it was like 20 MB a month, I suppose right now they have to give away up to 200 = P
The point is, I don't think external storage is a problem.

And Thank you Juan M., great FFT wallpaper.

          1.    Juan M. said

Ah, I was going to recommend the same, if the problem is the loading of the post for users, the ideal would be to leave 400 × 200 minipreviews in the post. And by clicking the images redirect to the images hosted on flickr of 300kb in high quality.

And personally the details are important, I believe that the details are what make the difference in good quality desks and those that end up impacting users so that they are encouraged to personalize their desks and who says in the future to present them in the blog.

Hello, the blog is very good 😉

I really liked Rastery's screenlets, although it doesn't give information about them, it would have been perfect if I had added info ... If anyone knows what it's called, please let me know, because they're interesting ...

The thing on the left is Conky
The thing on the left below is the screenlet ip if the vision does not fail me.
At the top right I don't know if it is a screenlet.
On the right below it looks like the rhythmbox music album plugin.

And the bottom bottom of everything to the right I don't know what program it is but it looks like a music equalizer.

      1.    gardens said

ok Thanks, and already abusing a little more, you don't know how to get that conky look, it's interesting 😀

        1.    Juan M. said

You will have to find it on your own since it is a bit more complex, in addition to being so customizable it is better to learn to use it to adapt it to your own needs. 😉

Sorry for not putting all the info, it is that I hurried to be able to send the capture on time and I put the essentials.

On the left is Conky yes but only the calendar, the weather and the two rectangles below, and the clock, the circles are screenlets, you can find it in these directions:

and I am with the colleagues in relation to the increase of the captures, I sent them in .png so that they had more details and that but if it combines better in .jpg you say it and it is done.

thank you and how good you liked the captures.
