All the desktops are very good! I was surprised by Ramón's, it is very rare to see you using KDE 😛

    1.    Ramon said

Yes, I wanted to understand why everyone is crazy about KDE these days xD!

  2.   Ramon said

    Thanks for posting mine =)

KR-Hibiki's is great, if you read this… How did you put kanji in cmatrix? In case it is clear cmatrix = P

  3.   Rodrigo, Colga1. said

All quite showy. Some pretty good ones like Rastery's or Sebastián's, I also liked Rafael's.

Those that are completely dark I do not like too much, but there are some that are saved.

And well, the Homer with the apple is totally unnecessary.

  4.   Jose said

    They are all very well.
Where do you get the bar in the style of the World Cup scoreboards in some of them?

Greetings to all, very good desks. Teh (Ramón or Cyb3rpunk), if it's cmatrix and I'm sorry to tell you that it's not 100% original kanji, the trick was to use a matrix style font (it's called "matrix_code.ttf" you find it in dafont) and call an instance of urxvt with that specific font (urxvt -bl -fn "xft: matrix code nfi: pixelsize = 12" -e cmatrix -a -b -C cyan). In openbox with a keyboard shortcut I call that terminal and I only maximize and I already have a screensaver. I imagine that with devilspie it could be made easier or give it a touch of wallpaper, and it must be done with any terminal. I hope it helps you and the tip will serve you all.

The truth is that it is a joy to see these real desktops, one of the strengths of this GNU / Linux system is the degree of customization that it has without a doubt, but one thing has caught my attention very much is Ernesto's desktop And what about the emulators if you could contact him and make a post about how to emulate consoles in GNU / Linux that topic seems interesting to me since I don't know how to do it yet.

Congratulations to all. Very good desks ^. ^

Hello everyone: my name in the blogspot is majesan but the address is: http://majesan2000.blogspot.com/.
Thank you for editing the desktops we sent.
I love this blog and I also learn a lot from it.
I understand when I see all the desks that I have a lot to learn, and since it is never too late I do that. learn to share my own experiences. Greetings to all and my gratitude for your continued information.

All of the desktops are great, some more than others but anyway all very good, I'm new to using Linux Ubuntu and it fascinates me, so bye windows ...

Ernesto, I loved your desk. I think it would be much more accurate for the style that you use covergloobus instead of the rhythmbox art-album.

M…, I liked Beejota's. The one of Basillio with the 2 funds for EQUAL: P.

Rastery, your theme with the sand wallpaper was 100 times more impressive. I still like it, it hurts the mac-fan-obsession.

Alvaro's is also interesting, it does not end up closing the same, I would have to try it to see how functional it is: P.

The XFCE one well, I always like the XFCE default theme.

Finally I quite liked the one from Cyb3rpunk.

Rafael, with another background that theme would be great;).

Good material, we read each other in 1 month 🙂

Thanks for the Kraken recommendation, I'm already using Covergloobus, thanks

    2.    Rafael said

Maybe you see ... in fact I was using many backgrounds, simple, photographic, paintings, drawings ... anyway I chose that one because it stands out in black on the panel, but do you have any suggestions? I will try it for the next month : Mrgreen:

Rastery explains how you get that look on Awn.

Hello, the appearance you refer to was achieved by cutting and resizing a wallpaper with gimp, right now I am using the same dock with reflection and it looks great, and I created 2 themes, one with reflection and the other not, if you are interested I can them send both, this is my email, rastery@gmail.com.
These are the measurements of the pattern.

    PNG image format
    Width: 1280 pixels
    Height: 98 pixels

Remember that themes do not come with icons.
I hope this information helps you.
