The specifications of the new Meizu MX6 Ubuntu Edition revealed

After numerous rumors and news about a new terminal by the Meizu company, The images and technical specifications of the new Meizu MX6 Ubuntu Edition are made official. A terminal with good capabilities that place you in the mid-range of smartphones. Its price does seem somewhat high if we compare it with equipment with similar characteristics but equipped with Android systems, but Ubuntu Touch has its cost.

Analyzing the characteristics of this new terminal we expected better components, since, of those available for this phone, hardly we can highlight its deca-core Helio X20 processor, a high capacity battery which will provide us with good use for many hours and a camera with good resolution.

Previously we told you what specifications we would like to see for the new Meizu and Canonical terminal, a union that is giving us very good devices, such as the recent Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition. On this occasion, the Meizu MX 6 Ubuntu Edition has not significantly improved its technical characteristics compared to models of the same class.

The new terminal will come equipped with a 5.5-inch screen with FullHD resolution at 1920 × 1080 pixels. The processor equipped will be the MediaTek MT6797, better known as Helio X20, and that will provide very good performance to the whole system thanks to its processor with 10 cores distributed as follows: a 72 GHz Cortex-A2.3 dual core processor, a 53 GHz Cortex-A2 quad core processor and a latest 53 GHz Cortex-A1.4 quad core processor. The available RAM will be discrete, 3 GB that will be enough to run our applications without problem, but we crave a little more memory to give a longer life to the terminal in the long term. Regarding the ability to internal storage will have 32 GB, simply enough in this regard.

Where this new terminal does stand out is in equipping a camera with a resolution that stands out from the average and places it in the high end of the terminals. We talk about a 8 MPx front camera and 20.7 MPx rear, more than enough to take good captures and that, if they equip a good sensor, they will give us excellent images. Care has also been taken to provide a generous battery to this device, 4000 mAh and fingerprint reader, as I already had the PRO 5 model of this same brand.

Finally we talk about price, € 399, and the confirmed colors with which it will go on sale, silver and metallic gold in the absence of confirming if there will be another in the future.
