How to install Wine 2.14 on Ubuntu?
The packages are currently under construction and will appear soon in their respective download locations. So if you want to start testing this new version for the moment, there is only the source code of it to compile.
You can download it from this link.
If you want to add the repository and wait a few days for it to be completely added, I leave you the method.
First we will have to enable the 32-bit architecture (if you have a 64 bit system)If you have a 32-bit one, this step is not necessary; To activate it, it is with the following command:
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
We proceed to install Wine, first we will have to add the official repository in our system and update the repositories.
wget https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key sudo apt-key add Release.key sudo apt-add-repository https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ sudo apt-get update
Done this, we proceed to install essential packages for Wine can run smoothly.
sudo apt-get --download-only install winehq-devel sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-devel sudo apt-get --download-only dist-upgrade
We can verify which version of Wine we have with:
Wine --version
Hopefully photoshop can be installed one day ...
But not all Windows applications work well
Because they do not create all the applications that Windows has and that work in Linux, for example the virtual dj or the visual studio among others
