Avidemux 2.6.15 arrives with hardware decoding improvements

Avidemux 2.6.15

During the past weekend a new version of an interesting video editor arrived, Avidemux 2.6.15, an update that arrives two months after the last major version. The latest version of Avidemux includes hardware decoding improvements, adding fixes that make the software a more usable editor, and encoding improvements, including support for the Fraunhofer FDA AAC audio codec, a new setting "none" ( none) to X26 series video codecs and fixes x265 two-pass encoding in Windows.

La hardware decoding in Linux has been improved adding support for HEVC / VC1 with the libVA library. In the case of Microsoft's operating system, an experimental DXVA (DirectX Video Acceleration) video codec, a DXVA2 / D3D display engine have been added, and CPU usage when playing audio has been fixed. The hardware decoding enhancements included in Avidemux 2.6.15 have also been improved on Linux and Windows with the NVEN-HEVC integration while trying to correct various problems with the NVENC video codec.

Avidemux 2.6.15 includes support for macOS Sierra

The new version of Avidemux too has tried to correct various management failures of the marker and of the search of the line of reproduction that were reported by the users. On the other hand, the copy / paste / delete / undo functions should work better after this update. Avidemux 2.6.15 also comes with official support for the latest version of Apple's desktop operating system, a macOS Sierra 10.12 that has been available for just over a month.

You can install Avidemux 2.6.15 for Windows (32 and 64 bits), for Linux (64 bits) and for macOS (64 bits) from THIS LINK. I personally prefer other video editors on Linux, like KDEnlive or OpenShot. And you? What is your favorite video editor for Linux?

I needed it because I always used it to paste subtitles to movies .. But good! Thanks for the links we will test the news and then I will tell you.
