In the next article we are going to take a look at Blue Recorder. This is a simple and simple software with which we can record the Ubuntu desktop. It is built with Rust, GTK + 3, and ffmpeg. The program supports video and audio recording on many of the Gnu / Linux desktops.

- It is a simple desktop recording program, available for Gnu / Linux systems and built using Rust, GTK + 3 and ffmpeg.
- Supports video and audio recording on almost all Gnu / Linux interfaces, with support for the Wayland display server in the GNOME session.
- The program It will allow us to stop the recording process in a simple way, by right-clicking on the icon and selecting 'Stop recording'. Once the recording is stopped, we will see a button play to play the recorded video in our default video player.

Installing Blue Recorder on Ubuntu
As flatpak package
If you are using Ubuntu 20.04, as is my case, and you do not have this technology enabled in your system, you can continue The Guide about it that a colleague wrote on this blog a while ago.
When you can install flatpak packages on your system, it only remains to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and use the following install command:
flatpak install flathub sa.sy.bluerecorder
This command will install the latest released version of Blue Recorder as flatpak pack in our system. Once the installation is complete, we can open the program by searching for its corresponding launcher on our computer or using this other command in the terminal:
flatpak run sa.sy.bluerecorder
uninstall
If he does not finish convincing you and you want uninstall Blue Recorder, open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and use the command in it:
flatpak uninstall sa.sy.bluerecorder
As a Snap package
To install this program as snap pack, we will only need to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and execute the install command correspondent:
sudo snap install blue-recorder
Once the program is installed, we can run it by searching for the launcher on our computer or by opening a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and typing in it:
blue-recorder
uninstall
This program installed as snap package, can be removed from Ubuntu opening a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and executing the command in it:
sudo snap remove blue-recorder
