Caprine is an application for Facebook Messenger open source and cross-platform built with Electron. Caprine builds the Facebook Messenger web platform, modifying and adding additional features. Caprine is compatible with Windows 7, 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10, with MacOS 10.9 and several Linux distributions, it has two themes, one dark and one called "Vibrant" (exclusive only for MacOS).

How to install Caprine on Ubuntu?
The creator of the application provides us with a .deb package with which we can install without having to compile the code. Just download the latest version package from your download site at this link.
And finally it is enough to perform the installation with the following command:
sudo dpkg -i caprine_*
And voila, with this we can begin to enjoy the application and the benefits it offers us.
Nor do you need to make an entry for each application made with electron.
I have tested it on Win10. In Ubuntu I will try it when I start the PC in Linux, but it seems to work quite well, it has dark mode, possibility to change the size of the letters, hide the states "read, write", and the links do not go through the Facebook server , which in some cases can be a point in favor, and others against, but in general, it goes quite well.
