A very important part of the desktop customization falls on the different typefaces that are used in different places in the desktop environment.
And it is that not all users like the same fonts. Fortunately in KDE, and in most desktop environments, it is really easy to change system fonts. In the case of KDE users can change fonts that are used in the title bar, in the toolbar, on the taskbar, in the menus, on the desktop, in the console (fixed width), and so on.
Changing fonts in KDE
To change the fonts used in the KDE desktop environment we have to go to System Preferences → Application Appearance → Fonts.
Once in the section Typefaces It will be necessary to establish the sources that we want to use in each part of the environment. This can be done individually or in one go by clicking on the option Fit all fonts.
In section Fit all fonts we can choose if we only want to set the type, style or size of the letters, the three options or only two of them. Everything is up to the user.
Optionally we can enable the edge smoothing and if we want to force, or not, the dots per inch.
Once the necessary changes have been made, we have to apply and accept the modifications. In order for the applications to detect the new preferences, they will have to be restarted; for the whole system to detect the changes we will have to close and log in again.

Lucia Grande.
Hi, I am using Kubuntu 12.10, but I don't have the Oxygen font. How did you install it?
Hi, I'm Jose, the one from before. I have already installed the oxygen font, but the font does not come out as it appears to you in the screenshots. Is it really the Oxygen type that you have? Greetings.
Oxygen appears in the screenshots because it was changing the font to show the KDE options in them. The typeface that is working is Lucida Grande.
