ClipGrab is a free application under the GPL license that is used to download online videos from different services, the application supports various formats to save videos, and you can even save them as audio files as well.

Supported formats
At the moment ClipGrab supports the following formats
- MPEG4 (video)
- WMV (video)
- OGG Theora (video)
- MP3 (audio only)
- OGG Vorbis (audio only)
For install ClipGrab on Ubuntu we can add a PPA repository, available for Ubuntu 9.10 /10.04 and 10.10
We type the following in a terminal
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: clipgrab-team / ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install clipgrab
