On this new occasion we run into the new version of the desktop client for Twitter Corebird, being its version 1.7.3 in which it incorporates new improvements and improving performance.
In this new version of Core Bird 1.7.3 we can highlight that the maximum length of tweets has been increased to 280 characters, plus it also increases the maximum length of the name to 50 characters. Regarding the program interface, certain parts of the user interface are also improved to better cope with longer names.
We also cannot leave out las bug fixes such as fix of emoji button not appearing in window drafting and updating translations.
It should be noted that this application is Open Source and is written in GTK +3, we can access its source code from its git.
How to install Corebird 1.7.3 on Ubuntu?
In order to install this new version of Corebird in Ubuntu or any derivative of it such as Linux Mint, Kubuntu, Zorin OS, etc. We must do the following
Open the terminal using Ctrl + Alt + T or by searching for 'terminal' from the application launcher. When it opens, run the command to add PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: ubuntuhandbook1 / corebird
Then update Corebird if you have a previous version installed through Software Update, we simply have to execute the following commands to install or update Corebird:

To remove the PPA, we should go to Software & Updates and in the "Other Software" tab.
Another method to remove Corebird from our system is to use the system's package manager or just run this command from terminal:
sudo apt remove --autoremove corebird
In ubuntu 16.04 with this PPA only install version 1.5.1 of corebird
