A few months ago I was looking for a Twitter client desktop to use on my laptop with Ubuntu or some distribution based on the operating system developed by Canonical. After much searching I found Corebird, a client that I thought was more than decent that I have been using for quite some time. Its developers continue working to improve this great Twitter client and yesterday they released version 1.3.2 with very interesting news.
The first of these new features cannot be missing from any major Twitter client: recently, the microblogging network changed the way it counts characters so that only letters and emoji or other types of characters count for the famous 140 characters. emoticons. Links, photos, videos, other types of multimedia links and even mentions and quotes will no longer subtract and that is the most outstanding novelty of Corebird 1.3.2.
