Dell Precision welcomes three more siblings into its family, with Ubuntu 18.04

Dell has had the pleasure of announce the launch of three new computers. It is about the Dell Precision 5540, 7540 and 7740, although there is an error in the title of your briefing note and it says "7740" twice. Earlier this month they presented other teams from the same family, some that were more intended for basic use, while the recently announced ones are more focused on developers (developer editions). All three computers arrive with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Bionic Beaver.

The most discreet of the three, the 5540, comes with a 9th generation Intel Xeon E or Intel Core, with 4TB of storage and up to 64GB of RAM. The most powerful, the 7740, would arrive with the same processors, but it can arrive up to 8TB of storage and 128GB of RAM. There are also differences in the rest of the components, such as more powerful graphics cards depending on the chosen model.

What they have not mentioned yet are the prices of these computers. It seems clear that, with all that they bring, the only thing we can say is that they will not be cheap. The good thing is that it is computers that go on sale with Ubuntu, so everything will work perfectly from the beginning without any incompatibility.
