Please, do not criticize my artistic gifts, and less with a Touchpad. To the point: there is a new drawing app in the Linux world. Is named Drawing and the most noteworthy thing about this app is its simplicity. There are no complications, practically everything is in sight and we do not see anything excessive when we open the application. It is perfect for those who want to draw pictures, but I think it may be too short for many users.
Drawing is an application that has been created mainly with GNOME image, but it is also available in Pantheon (elementary OS) and MATE / Cinnamon. What you see in the header image of this article is the GNOME version and it is easily installed from Flathub, the most famous repository for getting Flatpak applications. What can I do with Drawing
As we have just explained, it is a fairly simple application and includes the tools:
- Pencil.
- Selection.
- Text.
- Colour selection.
- Paint (bucket).
- Line.
- Arc.
- Rectangle.
- Circle.
- Polygon.
- Free form.
- Available in Spanish, English, French and Turkish.
When selecting one of the tools, at the bottom we will see what options we can modify, such as the color, the font and its size with the text or if we want a circle / rectangle to have a background or not and what color.
If you want to try it, I was going to say that you won't lose anything, but you won't if you have package support enabled Flatpak, since installing it is as simple as clicking this link and install it from your software center. The thing changes if you want to install it with the other method, something that is explained here and we would install an unstable version.
