Edit your images professionally with Fotoxx

fotoxx

Fotoxx is a very powerful image editor and totally opensource. It is the best editor for digitally captured images, and you can edit and manage a large collection of photos. It allows you to navigate between our images using thumbnail views, it supports working with RAW format and it is intuitive and easy to use.

We can stand out among the main features from Fotoxx a wide spectrum of full color editing functions, feedback quick visual, copy / paste / edit separate areas of the image, create versions of different files, batch process images, name different image collections, HDR, image montage and image search.

In addition to this, Fotoxx incorporates the basic editing options of images such as rotating, inverting and resizing a photo. To this is added the elimination of red eyes by the flash, better define fuzzy edges, reduce electronic noise in low light conditions, and distort the image.

As for formats that Fotoxx supports We can add other RAWs such as PG, PNG, DNG, GIF, TIFF and BMP, in 8 and 16 bit color channels for each of them.

Installing Fotoxx

photoxx 2

Installing Fotoxx is not difficult. All you have to do is follow the familiar process of add a PPA, re-synchronize the repositories and finally install the package. To do this, open a terminal and execute the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fotoxx

After testing Fotoxx I can say that has a good number of options available for lovers of photo retouching, and that all of them are ideal to give a more attractive touch to your images, make them more fun or highlight certain areas.

If you're looking for somewhat lighter and easier to handle than GIMP, then Fotoxx is what you need.

Do you know what is one of the big problems of linux? It's just that the interfaces are generally horrible. I had fotoxx on my laptop with ubuntu 15.04 and it worked quite well but it is a horrendous program. So let me rest for another. Hopefully they will improve your visual appearance.

I liked Picada, but Google removed the ability to download the latest version released for Linux. Anyway, given the neglect Picada is experiencing for Wibdows, I wouldn't be surprised if any day they either remove it, or release the source code
