Elementary OS looks more and more like macOS

Elementary OS, About screen

Elementary OS is a distribution that is based on Ubuntu and that seeks the simplicity and efficiency of Gnu / Linux. Although we have all always said that it is the distribution for Apple users, because the distribution seeks to resemble MacOS.

During the month of June, Elementary OS has been updated with some changes that we can summarize as one more step towards Apple's operating system. Or at least that's what it seems to me. The guys from Elementary OS has modified the About screen, a screen in which the manufacturer can now personalize indicating the equipment, hardware and other characteristics of the equipment. A screen that currently exists in macOS and that looks like it's already available to Elementary OS users.

Does Elementary OS look like macOS or does macOS look like Elementary OS?

The calendar and date have also been updated. Now it is easier to see them in different conditions, that is, on high resolution screens with different sizes. And is that improve HiDPI support is another of the changes that have come in this version. Now it is easier to work with Elementary OS and high resolution displays.

El AppCenter has been filled with new apps and apps. Just like it happens in macOS. Now we have 20 new applications that we can install on Elementary OS without any problem, among them a bitTorrent application stands out that will help newbies to download content from the Internet.

Elementary OS is a distribution that despite its resemblance to macOS, is totally free and that we can get it in your official website. If you already have the distribution installed on your computer, you only have to approve the updates so that they are installed on your computer. But the most surprising thing is not the changes or the news but the incredible resemblance it has to macOS. And I say, Wouldn't the Elementary OS user use an Apple computer better?

If it continues like this, the same thing will happen as pear OS

It does not look alike, it still lacks too much to be able to compare its designs, elementary has its own identity, to be Mac OS it lacks the global menu, and various changes in the panel

So much say "this is the year of Linux on the desktop" and there is a distro that improves MacOS and we criticize it.

I am an elementary user and it seems to me that it is still far from MacOS, personally I like the work of the elementary boys. I find it a very attractive Linux and the latest versions seem stable to me for daily work.
It is the advantage of the Linux world, the freedom to choose the distribution that best suits our tastes and needs.

I liked pearOS, but not elementary, from my point of view it is prettier a well-worked gnome like those of Apricity OS did, too bad it is also a dead project.

Look where I think the same GNU / Linux wants to look like MacOS without the indicator-appmenu that works with all APPS IS NOTHING.
