"Eoan" will be the last name of the Ubuntu 19.10 animal

Ubuntu 19.10 eoan

Just the day after the launch of a new version of Ubuntu, the name of the next one is announced. No, that moment has not yet come ... or not officially. Just as Ubuntu is launched before being officially announced, which coincides with the updates of their respective web pages, we can already see that the next version of the operating system developed by Canonical will be an animal with the adjective or surname (which goes before) eoan.

The name appears on the distribution website, which you can access from here. Right now there is still nothing useful for the vast majority of users, but it helps us to know ahead of time part of the name of Ubuntu 19.10. It is worth remembering that, like every year, Canonical releases two versions of Ubuntu: one in April (x.04) and another in October (x.10). Ubuntu 19.10 will arrive sometime in mid-October 2019.

Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan ...

But what is Eoan? Have you heard that word before? Surely not, and it is that it does not appear as a valid word in the RAE nor does Google translate it into Spanish for nothing. In some English dictionaries it does appear and means "something related to sunrise", while in other dictionaries they say that it is related "to the East." After a disco dog, an animal from the East sounds like little, right?

Now we have to wait a few (supposedly) hours until Mark Shuttleworth announces the official name of Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan… something. We know that Ubuntu uses a first name and an adjective / surname with the same initial, so being a person whose mother tongue is not English, right now it only occurs to me that it could be Eoan Elephant. An "Eastern Elephant" is not a very attractive name and I imagine that will not be the name of the next version of Ubuntu. What animal do you think will be the "Eoan" of Ubuntu this October?
