ExTiX 19.4 does it again: the first system based on Deepin Linux 15.9.3

ExTix 19.4

The past 9 of March o ExTiX 19.3, an operating system that made headlines for being the first to be based on Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo, ahead of Canonical's official launch. We already said that Arne Exton, its developer, was very daring to launch a system based on another that was still in beta, but it seems that it was not the first and it will not be the last time: ExTiX 19.4 is based on Deepin Linux 15.9.3, another operating system that is also in beta.

In what is no longer the first is to use Linux Kernel 5, precisely because ExTiX 19.3, based on Ubuntu, was the first to use it. What it does use is an advanced version of the Linux kernel. The latest stable version is v5.0.8 and this version based on Deepin of the Exton system use Linux Kernel 5.0.8. To give you an idea, the Disco Dingo that was released just a week ago still uses the version 5.0.0-13-generic.

Other new features included in ExTiX 19.4

The operating system has been dubbed "The Ultimate Linux Operating System" by its developer, which he believes is contributed by an advanced kernel that includes a lot of hardware support and bug fixes. On the other hand, the latest version of Refract Snapshot for anyone who wants to create Live versions of ExTiX 19.4. In what I would call bloatwareApplications such as Spotify or Skype have also been included by default.

This system comes with the Reborn version of the Deepin installer, which allows us to configure our language before starting the Live Session. This is not possible in other systems like Ubuntu, in which we have to choose the language afterwards, close and reopen the session. If we do not know that the password is an empty space, we will not be able to put everything in Spanish.

It is also important to mention that the ISO is less heavy in this version, going from 1.8GB to 1.5GB. This will allow us to run it better in a Live Session. You can download the latest version of ExTiX 19.4 from here.
