Although there are many mobile operating systems, we could say that only Android and iOS have a relevant market share. It might have been interesting that Windows Phone was popular and I think that in the future, Ubuntu Phone will have something to say. If the latter is true, it is likely that proposals such as the glove that have been launched in ZTE Project CSX have contributed to it.
The proposal is part of a project with which the Chinese giant is committed to launching a mobile terminal collecting the ideas of users. That is, it is a page that ZTE has opened to find out what users want to have a smartphone that has to be launched sometime in 2017. One of the proposals they have received is that the phone they launch uses Ubuntu Phone as the operating system.
Will ZTE launch a phone with Ubuntu Phone?
It is clear that it would be a good idea, but it is difficult for us to see it, or at least in 2017. . Ubuntu Phone will be a great operating system, but it will be as the years go by. Right now we cannot easily install many important mobile applications, such as WhatsApp, and I think we will all agree that, without those applications, we still cannot talk about a complete mobile operating system. As if that were not enough, Canonical launches OTA after OTA to correct bugs that users are reporting and add basic functions, which shows that the operating system is more than "green".
In any case, all is not lost. If users are voting on the proposal, we cannot rule out the possibility that ZTE will decide to launch a phone with Ubuntu Phone. If you decide to do so, it is most likely that they will release few units, which would help you to know the real interest of users for Ubuntu Phone. The question is: would you like ZTE to take the plunge?
They should be more than do the same with other companies as with Samsung lg sony eyc.
I support you with the Sony thing: 3
I like it but I want to challenge Elephone to launch one with Ubuntu
