Firefox 55 will be the fastest version, but will it be on Ubuntu 17.10?

Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge

At the end of August we will receive a new version of Mozilla Firefox, the 55th version of this web browser. According to the tests, Firefox 55 will be one of the fastest versions of all those issued by Mozilla. This means that many users will revert to using this browser on their Ubuntu.

At least taking into account the data from the tests carried out on this version of Mozilla Firefox. But Will we really find Mozilla Firefox in the next versions of Ubuntu?

Firefox has become the second choice of many Ubuntu users. Many Ubuntu users choose to install Chrome or Chromium as the main browser, leaving Firefox as the second web browser for times when there are problems. But not only Ubuntu users but also users of other Gnu / Linux distributions and even other operating systems perform these installations. That is why the Mozilla team decided to insert Quantum Flow technology that significantly improves Mozilla Firefox performance and ensure that the number of users increases and does not decrease.

Mozilla Firefox 55 will be the fastest version of all Firefox versions

This decision is having positive results, but it is also true that it may be late. Actually, Ubuntu has launched surveys on the applications to add in Ubuntu 17.10 and Ubuntu 18.04, surveys that asked which web browser to use by default.

This does not mean that we cannot use Mozilla Firefox 55 on Ubuntu, but yes we will have to install it after Ubuntu, in case Mozilla Firefox is no longer on Ubuntu. Or it may happen the other way around and users who used Chrome stop installing this web browser because they have Mozilla Firefox. In any case, it seems that in the future we will stop using two web browsers or maybe not? What do you think?

Each new version is "faster" than the previous one ... with so many versions, you would think that the browser flies, but no ...
