Fix the problems of your BQ mobile with Android in Ubuntu

Bq Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Edition

The Spanish company BQ is one of the companies that started small and in a short time is standing up to large companies such as Apple or Samsung. One of those reasons was the launch of terminals with Ubuntu Phone, terminals that are quite good and have recently received a new update.

However, not only for that reason is BQ known, nor for that alone we can say that BQ is a lover of Free software. Recently released a series of tools to fix your mobiles that have a version for Windows and another version for Ubuntu, something interesting that will help many of you.

This tool is called BQ Firmware Flash Tool, a tool that allows you to clean and update any BQ mobile with Android in a clean way. The tool is free and once downloaded, its use can solve many problems with the BQ mobile, especially in case of having problems with the last update or with a problematic rom.

BQ Firmware Flash Tool will allow us to fix new BQ mobile with Android from Ubuntu

To do this, we must first go to the official BQ website and download the tool that we have told you. Once downloaded, we unzip the zip package and we will find two folders, one says Ubuntu and the other Windows.

We go to the Ubuntu folder and select the corresponding package, if we have 64 bits we will choose the 64-bit version and otherwise the other version. We double click on the package and The Software Center will open where the name of the tool will appear and the "install" button, click Install and wait for it to finish.

Once it has finished, we go to the Dash and search for "Flash Tool" or "BQ", then the new installed tool will appear. We open it and the following window will appear:

bq flash tool

Nothing will appear, but if we connect the mobile to the equipment, the tool will show the serial number and give us two options to choose from: Install the latest firmware version or install another version. If we choose the first option, the program will do everything for us, if we choose the second, we have to provide the firmware to the program, that is, it must be already downloaded.

In any case, once chosen, the program will be in charge of erasing all the content of the mobile and installing the new firmware of our BQ mobile, thus fixing the problems in many cases.

The operation of this program is simple and this will allow us to fix or change the software of our BQ mobile without having to create a virtual machine with Windows or use Wine to make it work.

How disgusting of BQ, that great company that mistreats its employees and expels all those who have more seniority in order to outsource their services.

Let's see, you don't have to go over there either. Not for bad thinking, but this looks like a sponsored article.

I don't think the idea is a sponsored article. I suppose that what to stand up is because they dared with something different like Ubuntu. As for the application, it is a coincidence, but unfortunately I had to use it last week after an error in the device, and it is true that it is appreciated that they bother to have a version for our operating system.

And now that it has disappeared and has irresponsibly disconnected all its pages, leaving BQ users in the air, what will we do who needs to download the hard reset and update or reconfiguration tools of the phone due to loss of software?
