Install Fotoxx on Ubuntu 20.04 via PPA

If you are interested in installing the latest published version of Fotoxx, Ubuntu users can use the PPA compatible with Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 20 and Ubuntu 21.04. We will only need to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and execute the following command to add the PPA to our system:

add Fotoxx repository

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xtradeb/apps

Once the list of software available from the repositories available on our computer has been updated, the next thing we will have to do is launch this other command to install this photo management software:

install fotoxx from ppa

sudo apt install fotoxx

When the installation is finished we can find the program launcher on our computer to start using it.

uninstall

To remove the Ubuntu PPA, you simply have to go to the Software & Updates utility, and in it select the Other software tab. There we will only need to mark the repository line and delete it by pressing the «Remove» button.

To eliminate the PPA, we can also open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and run the command:

remove ppa from terminal

sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:xtradeb/apps

Now we can uninstall Fotoxx. In a finish (Ctrl + Alt + T) we only need to execute the command:

uninstall fotoxx from terminal

sudo apt remove --auto-remove fotoxx
