FriceOS an Argentine distribution based on Ubuntu

A few weeks ago I had seen some comments on my social networks about This distro based on Ubuntu of Argentine origin, I was quite struck by its design and appearance.

To tell the truth there are few Ubuntu-based distributions that come to arouse my interest, since most of them tend to be an approach to common solutions, games, editing, education etc.

The distribution It has been on the network for several years now, but currently yesus developers have managed to create a stable version, since from its inception it was only released as a beta.

FRICE OS It is currently in its FriceOS G version and being based on Ubuntu like most of the distros it will have a prompt update as soon as the stable version of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS is released.

Within the plans of the developers of FriceOS in May they will be releasing the new version of FriceOS 4.0 with which they argue this will have gathered the best of all its previous versions in one place.

FriceOS caught my attention not only because of its clean and elegant appearance, but also because of the focus of the distribution.

And is that FriceOS is designed in an exceptional way, so that newcomers to Linux do not have any inconvenience or problems during the day-to-day use of the system.

This is the interesting part that from my part is to applaud the developers of FriceOS, because from my point of view few developers take into account.

You will always, always have new users and it depends on you whether they stay or leave.

This is where in my opinion it is to congratulate the people behind FriceOS, because after the modifications they made to Ubuntu we have the following distro.

Less terminal and more simple installations

They added a package manager to the distro which will easily install all those .deb packages of applications that the user wants to install.

Windows application compatibility

They made the system a distro that has the facility to be able to install Windows applications on it.

Good design

Thanks to its clean and elegant design, the interface of the distribution is quite intuitive, although quite familiar to Windows.

Game Compatibility

Another complement to being able to install Windows applications is the ease and retouching of the system to have the least inconveniences to be able to use the distro to play our favorite titles.

Software within FriceOS

Inside the package that we find in the distro, we have a great compilation of the most popular software and used by the average Linux user.

El web browser we have Firefox, We have Libreoffice as an office suite, they add an Android emulator to the system to enjoy its applications in FriceOS, the default desktop environment is KDE with several modifications in the aspect, we also find Telegram Desktop within the distro.

The distro has the connectivity for notifications with Android devices this thanks to KDE Connect.

Almost to finish, the distribution has all the benefits of being based on an LTS version of UbuntuOne of them is the support that Canonical people offer directly to the system.

Software Center, update the Kernel just by installing the deb packages that are published every so often by the guys at Canonical and others.

In order to test this distribution we can acquire the image of the system, we just have to go to its official website and in the download section We will be able to see the different versions that it offers us.

Moment the most current version is FriceOS GEven though, as I mentioned, in a matter of weeks we will have version 4.0 of FriceOS available.

Finally, the developers of FriceOS offer the system at an affordable cost, this does not mean that the system is paid.
