One of the actions that the community of a distribution likes the most is the wallpaper or desktop wallpaper contest for the version. Participation in this type of contest is high and makes the version have a high level of customization. In the case of Ubuntu, the wallpaper contest is usually done by any official Ubuntu flavor and Ubuntu Budgie already has its winners.
At the end of this post we show you the contest winning funds that Ubuntu Budgie made recently. Although we have to say that the wallpaper or desktop background is something that we can customize, either with our photos or with the desktop backgrounds of other distributions.
- Ubuntu Budgie has revealed the winners as well as the wallpapers they have won. In total 10 wallpapers that will be installed in the next Ubuntu Budgie 17.10. As we have said before, we can have these wallpapers in any Gnu / Linux distribution or in Ubuntu Budgie 17.04. For this we only have to save the image by right clicking on it. Then we go to Settings and in "Background" we choose the image that we have saved. After a few seconds, our Ubuntu will apply the configuration that we have indicated and we will have the new desktop background.
This time we can get the desktop backgrounds from a repository in Flickr or from a repository in Github, the latter something unusual but it could be something that becomes fashionable since it will allow us to play with the images and make scripts that personalize our distribution.
I currently use Ubuntu Budgie as a personal distribution, not only for its simplicity but also for its beauty. It's a pretty nice flavor and the wallpapers help it. It's more, I am already using some Ubuntu Budgie 17.10 wallpapers. And you What do you think of the winning wallpapers?
