GNOME 3.34.1 arrives fixing the first bugs found in this series

GNOME 3.34.1

On September 12, the GNOME Project released GNOME 3.34. Although it includes interesting news, they have been responsible for publicizing one more than the rest: the new version is more fluid than the previous ones, so we could say that Ubuntu will have the version of GNOME that it should have when they undid the path that led them to pass to Unity. But everything good can be improved, and that is why maintenance versions such as the one are released GNOME 3.34.1 launched today.

As you can see in the link posted by GNOME Project, many bugs fixed distributed in the different components of the graphical environment, among which we also have their applications. A total of 42 packages / modules have been updated, among which we have the icon theme Adwaita, Epiphany, evince and other applications such as GNOME Boxes, GNOME Calculator or maps. They have also left some modules untouched, logically because they have found no faults to correct.

GNOME 3.34.1: desktop and app fixes

Of the new features that GNOME 3.34.1 includes, we can highlight:

  • Various fixes in Epiphany, including improvements for small devices.
  • Fix for fast user switching with GDM.
  • Some crashes or "crashes" in the GNOME control center have been fixed.
  • Fixed a GNOME Software issue installing webapps, as well as the ability to activate third-party repositories and other fixes.
  • Important fixes in Nautilus. If you are thinking that this will fix what prevents dragging articles from / to the desktop, this is not the case. That is not a failure, but a decision.

GNOME 3.34 is the version of the graphical environment that will include Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine and among its most outstanding novelties we have the possibility of creating folders in the application launcher, that some applications are responsive or, this related to GNOME, new icons and themes. Eoan Ermine will be released on October 17.
