GNOME welcomes Library into its circle and adds label for unverified apps on Flathub. News

This week in GNOME

We are in Easter, so happy holidays to those who celebrate them. I have had to find a little time to publish the news that has occurred during the week on the most used desktops in Linux, and we start with those of GNOME. Between what happened from March 22 to 29, Library, an application to consult GNOME documentation, has become part of his circle.

In the following News list There is nothing related to the €1M donation from Sovereign Tech Fund, and the reason has not been explained. Yes, there are some of the usual news, the majority being new versions of applications or new functions that will reach software related to GNOME, whether in official applications, from its circle or from third parties.

This week in GNOME

  • Library has been accepted into the GNOME Circle.

  • Because rendering random documents can be dangerous, a security feature was added to Apostrophe this week. It will offer the option to upload potentially dangerous files with html and javascript disabled. Patches have also been included that will unlock the last outstanding issue that prevented a GTK4 version: the spell checker. Apostrophe beta
