GNOME tells us again about few new things this week, but Phosh has received a very aesthetic touch

Mousai, this week in GNOME

How to Live Aligned with seven days ago, GNOME posted today an article with not too many news. Even so, and taking into account that negative records were broken last week, today there is more to tell. And it is that GNOME is a project and with the same name we refer to it and its software, which includes a graphical environment, applications and libraries. In addition, there is also a special version for mobile phones, and it is in this one that they have added something colorful.

It may seem like a small thing to most, but it is shown that continue to move forward with the development of Phosh. This week they have introduced a novelty, and it is worth visiting the original article to see it: gestures have been added to swipe from the top and bottom of the mobile device.

This week in GNOME

  • Static location events have been added to Fractal.
  • Mousai (header capture) has received a new user interface and has been ported to the new version of libadwaita.
  • Furtherance 1.1.1 has been released, and it includes a new icon, shows the sum total of daily times and many bugs have been fixed. It is also available in Spanish, German and Italian.
  • Workbench now has a library of demos/examples.
  • Phosh now has swipe gestures from the top and bottom bars. I haven't used it for a long time, but, if I remember correctly, until now the panels were opened by tapping on the bars.
  • Cawbird, the Twitter client, has received improvements related to libadwaita, adding account settings, the ability to upload a user's timeline, and rewriting how media is displayed.
  • Various improvements to Boatswain, such as now working well on all known Stream Deck models, MPRIS integration, and better OBS Studio integration.
  • Amberol 0.3.0 has arrived as the latest development version.
  • The Blur my Shell extension has been updated to GNOME 42, and now uses libadwaita. It has also received aesthetic improvements.
  • Works for flatpak applications with aarch64 architecture for devices like PINE64, Librem 5 and postmarketOS.

And that's been it for this week at GNOME.
