The system monitor is a very useful tool on many computers and systems. To such an extent that practically all operating systems have one. In Ubuntu we have the possibility to use widgets or choose to Conky, a very light system monitor that offers us all the system information on our desktop.
Those of you who already know this tool, surely you already know its virtues and its problems. Mainly the problem: its aesthetics. But we can correct this with Harmattan Conky.
This tool is responsible for customizing the Conky system monitor with colors and styles, as if it were a web page, but maintaining Conky's philosophy of lightness.
Harmattan Conky makes it possible for the flat design to reach all of our Ubuntu, including the conky
Application Harmattan Conky is totally free and we can get it through Harmattan GitHub repository. Once we have downloaded the new package to our computer, we just have to choose the theme we want to use and copy the .conkyrc file into the original .conkyrc file. That is For Harmattan Conky to work we must have previously installed Conky in our Ubuntu.
Harmattan Conky works very well but has some bugs. Above all there are bugs with the version for Gnome Shell and with some network connection, however these bugs have been recognized by the developer and we can find their solutions in the GitHub repository.
Harmattan Conky customization is an ideal complement to those looking for the greatest customization of their operating system with the least effort. However, it is not mandatory for Conky to work and we can have the same functions and benefits as with the original Conky.
Advanced users can always choose to manually customize the .conkyrc file, something more complete but also longer to do.
I could never configure it, if someone has done it, could they pass me the data?
Yes, I didn't make it either.
I installed and run them but if I wanted to customize it it never worked out well for me I made disasters and there are pages with very good konky designs but it is somewhat confusing or my level in Linux is low.
???, just install the .deb, accept terms and conditions and place the title of the song or album and that's it
Leonardo, you are confused, I don't know what you are talking about, conky is not a music player, it is a HUD-type display that shows different team info, calendar weather, etc.
I think you confused the applications and posts this post talks about conky not about headset
