For those unaware of Heroes of Might and Magic II, they should know what it is a turn-based tactical strategy game developed in 1996. The history of the title continues with the canonical ending of its predecessor, culminating in the victory of Lord Morglin Ironfist.
The game features two campaigns, one run by the opposition (which is canonical) and the other by royalty. The way the adventure progresses remains the same. The player must build a kingdom, continually improve it, obtain resources, train soldiers, and be prepared to stop an enemy attack. Likewise, the ultimate goal is still to find the opponent's castle and conquer it.
The developers point out that the team lacks the designers that the project you need to fix the flaws in the animation of the original graphics.
Therefore, participation in brainstorming plans for the development of the expansion is also encouraged, to which the developers will move after they successfully recreate the original game.
Main new features of Heroes of Might and Magic II 0.9.15
In this new version that is presented, it is highlighted that the engine code responsible for sound playback has been completely reworked, which has been a great improvement, as well as the melodies on the adventure map and in the cities now continue where they left off and a sound (not used anywhere in the original assets) has been added to an object on the ocean adventure map: «cliff with seagulls».
Another change that stands out is that provided a smooth change in the volume of the effects when moving the hero on the adventure map.
In addition to this, it is also highlighted that added a rating for the campaign pass, plus the AI has been optimized to speed up calculations. AI now behaves more brazenly given the stage conditions.
On the other hand, the missing items generated from the "Scarlet Tower" in the city of sorceresses without a castle and the colors of the flags in the castles of knights and wizards change according to the color of the player.

- Added an experimental 3D sound option to the Adventure Map.

How to install Heroes of Might and Magic II on Ubuntu and derivatives?
For those who are interested to be able to install this game on your system, must have at least a demo version of the game Heroes of Might and Magic II to be able to play it.
