For various reasons that are irrelevant, I have had to go back to Xubuntu, the official Ubuntu flavor with the Xfce desktop. It had been several versions that I did not use it continuously and now I have discovered some interesting news such as rotate wallpaper automatically.
This utility is interesting if we like to personalize our desktop a lot and it is also interesting since its use will prevent the system and our ram memory from loading with other external applications that will slow down the system.
How to activate Wallpaper rotation in Xubuntu
In order to activate this new functionality we have to go to «Desktop Settings ...»That we can find by right clicking with the mouse on the Desktop. On the first screen that appears, at the bottom we will find an option that says: » Change the desktop background:»We will leave this option marked and choose the time (minutes, seconds and hours) that we want to have between wallpaper and wallpaper.
Now it will rotate the images in the selected folder. A recommendation and in order not to find undesirable surprises, it is to create a folder with images that we have put ourselves. Then we select that folder as standard in the "Directory" option and that's it. This precautionary measure is done because the Xfce program takes all the images from the images folder to which we can add personal downloads that we do not want to appear on the screen or be made public.
Another interesting option that is near the minute marker is the "random order" if we mark it, the images will rotate randomly, a more fun and interesting option. Personally I think that rotating the wallpaper is something necessary if we want to customize our computer and tools like this are tremendously useful or so it seems to me What do you think?
