How to Boot from USB into Unsupported Bios with Plop Boot Manager

In the next article I am going to teach you, thanks to Plop Boot Manager, how to boot from USB from computers with Bios which they can't stand booting using this system. Through this system we will be able to try or install any distro Linux from the Pen Drive, and we will not have to go around burning CDs, since in times of crisis it is not the thing to buy CDs, much less DVDs. Sometimes browsing the internet you are surprised with articles as good as the one I found on the blog. Ape Project posted by iavex, So I have decided to share it with all the followers of Ubunlog. The program in question is called Plop Boot Manager, it's completely free and we can download from this link.

How to use Plop Boot Manager

The first thing we should do once the compressed zip file is downloaded, will be unzip it anywhere and record the image plpbt.iso on a CD. How to Boot from USB into Unsupported Bios with Plop Boot Manager

With a Pen Drive we will have to record the Linux distro or distros that we want boot from own USB, for this we have UNetbootin o Yumi.

With UNetbootin we can create a Bootable USB of any image from a Linux distro, while with Yumi we can create the Bootable USBof several Linux distros at the same time and select at startup which one we want to use.

What if, in addition to not booting from USB, we don't have a CDROM drive either? It is a very old laptop with windows Millenium.

I think it is better that you connect the disk of the laptop to a more modern pc, that at least has a cd-rom or usb, from there you install it in the OS you want and then pass it back to the laptop; There is also another option that I never tried, several right-handers support NetInstall, which is an installation from the internet by downloading some small files that can be placed on a floppy disk, in a direct download-> install process. You can see it after selecting the distro in the list and choosing the floppy drive, the option appears as NetInstall.
I don't know if this works for you, I hope so, I don't know much about this topic in space; You can also search it on the internet as [distro name] and netboot / netinstall, at least Ubuntu has them (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/netboot/quantal/)

I want to do the opposite ... Bootear with plop from usb and boot external CD to install reduced linux since it is a mac from 2009 and almost no program has received me from the usb, the CD / dvd reader seems to be bad ... Apparently the utility multiboots is the only one that the mac recognized me in bootable usb but the few linux of little megas + or - current could not be installed always throw an error of some kind, the plop bootable from usb does not start, any ideas?
