Within Linux operating systems, there are variants such as Fedora y open suse, Linux distros that are followed and installed on their machines by crowd of users.
In this simple tutorial, I am going to teach you install the latest stable version of the fastest browser in the world, which is none other than Google Chrome.
The way to install in these distributions, is very similar to that of Ubuntu y Debian derivatives, we will too directly downloading the file from the Google Chrome website, the only thing is that instead of selecting the file .deb, we will select the file with extension . Rpm.
To install it, we will use the functional Linux console, the only thing that in these versions of Linux uses the Yum as the main command.
Installing Google Chrome on Fedora and derivatives like Open Suse
The first thing we will have to do is download the .rpm file from the official Chrome page, once downloaded, we will open a window of the terminal and we will access the download folder, which in this case will be Downloads:
- CD Downloads
- sudo yum install google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm
Send error.
Instead of downloading and installing the RPM I recommend setting up the google repository so that chrome updates don't require you to manually search for the new RPM.
Greetings.
