Not long ago we told you about Surf, a minimalist browser. An interesting web browser but insufficient for most users. A long time ago we talked to you about Pale Moon, a web browser that was based on Firefox.
This web browser has managed to turn Mozilla Firefox spins into good opportunities and is currently a great option for those looking for a modern web browser that consumes all computer resources. The success of this web browser lies in the fact that it is compiled for different platforms, so its operation is more optimal than with the original Firefox. What's more disables certain features and add-ons that Firefox has and that make it heavier like DRM and that makes browsing faster, safer and more optimal.
Along with this, we have that Pale Moon is a fork of Firefox which makes all Mozilla browser add-ons and extensions work with Pale Moon. Pale Moon is missing from the official Ubuntu repositories but we can install it through the Pale Moon community repositories.
To do this we have to open a terminal and write the following:
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb http://kovacsoltvideo.hu/moonchildproductions/ ./'
Then we have to import the repository verification key executing the following:
wget -q http://kovacsoltvideo.hu/moonchildproductions/public.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
And finally we can install Pale Moon by executing the following code:
sudo apt update sudo apt install palemoon
If that does not convince us, then we can uninstall by executing the following code in the terminal:
sudo apt remove palemoon
Pale Moon is a great alternative to Mozilla Firefox and why not say it, also to Google Chrome. Maintains the security and privacy of the user without ceasing to be Free Software, something interesting for many users Do not you think?

Excellent yes, but you are a bit uninformed, it has never been fully compatible with Firefox extensions, only with some, very few and currently almost none, since Firefox is now based mostly on the web extension and pale moon is not compatible with web extension, all this happens because contrary to what is usually thought, pale moon does not use the same engine as Firefox, it uses its own engine. Apart from these little details, pale moon is an excellent browser. Greetings
It is the only modern browser that has a version compiled for processors that do not have SSE2 (Single Instruction Multiple Data Extensions 2) such as Athlon XP from AMD. Congratulations ….
Hello. How can I put it in Spanish, if I can?
Thank you.
