Aircrack-ng is a complete set of tools for wireless security auditing. It can be used to monitor, test, crack or attack wireless security protocols like WEP, WPA, WPA2.
Aircrack-ng is command-line based and available for Windows and Mac OS and other Unix-based operating systems.
The Aircrack-ng suite contains a large number of tools that are used for various purposes, but here we will only look at a few important tools that are used most frequently in wireless security testing.

From these we can know a little about the following.
airmon-ng
Airmon-ng is used to manage wireless card modes and to kill unnecessary processes while using aircrack-ng. To detect a wireless connection, you need to switch your wireless card from managed mode to monitoring mode and airmon-ng is used for this.
airodump-ng
Airodump-ng is a wireless tracker that can capture wireless data from one or more wireless access points. It is used to analyze nearby access points and to capture handshakes.
airplay-ng
Aireplay-ng is used for replay attacks and as a packet injector. You can override user authentication from your APs to capture handshakes.
airdecap-ng
Airdecap-ng is used to decrypt WEP, WPA / WPA2 encrypted wireless packets with known key.
Aircrack-ng
Aircrack-ng is used to attack WPA / WEP wireless protocols to find the key.
With them We can perform various activities such as monitoring the packets it captures, it has another function such as attacks with which we can de-authenticate the connected clients, create fake access points and others through the injection of packages.
Aircrack works primarily Linux, but also Windows, OS X, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, and even eComStation 2.
Installation
Aircrack-ng is easy to install on Ubuntu using APT. Just type the following command and this will install all the tools available in the Aircrack-ng suite.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install -y aircrack-ng

Using Aircrack-ng
Although this is a suite of several tools unlike some where all are executed in a single command and only have to change some values or add flags to the command.
PIn the case of Aircrack-ng as well as the other tools they can be run separately.
You can know the options of each one of the tools to run them you can do it with the help of –help or also using the command or man.
For example, to know the Aircrack-ng options, we execute:
aircrack-ng --help
Or in another case Airodump-ng, we execute:
airodump-ng --help
Another example would be for Aireplay-ng:
aireplay-ng --help
In several of the tools we will work with the MAC of those cards as well as the name they use known as bssid.
For many of these tools it is necessary to have a wireless card that has the monitor mode, as we mentioned earlier.
Given that this suite of tools is also used for other purposes and given the restrictions of use due to the different laws that exist in different countries, we cannot give examples of use of this suite.
But for those who are interested in learning about it, they should first make sure about the legality of use of this tool, since its use is the responsibility of the user.
