How to move the Dock in Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 to our preferred position

Moving the Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 dock

Some time ago I tried Ubuntu Budgie. I loved the graphical environment and its fluidity, but at the time I tried it, it lacked customization options that made me abandon it and go back to Ubuntu. A moment ago, you asked us how to move Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 dock And I thought "there has to be an easy way", so I started to investigate. I have done several tests and the solution is really simple, although we need to be precise.

If I remember correctly, and correct me if I'm wrong, the Ubuntu Budgie dock was earlier on the left, like some GNOME versions including Ubuntu 19.04 and all standard Ubuntu versions since it started using Unity. Now, the dock of the younger brother of the Ubuntu family it's at the bottom, but it can be moved. And not only that, but can be moved to all four sides of a screen. We explain how below.

Moving the Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 Dock from its right point

The process is very simple. We just have to do the following:

  1. We move the cursor to the dock.
  2. Here we have a small problem and the reason why some of you do not know how to do it: the most normal thing is that we are on top of an app icon, so we will not see any option. The trick is to move the cursor slowly until we don't see the name of any application.
  3. Once in a "middle" point between app and app, we right click.
  4. We choose «Preferences».
  5. Finally, in Appearance / Position we indicate where we want to have the dock.

As you can see it is very simple but, as I have explained previously, the problem is that we have to put the cursor in the right space between two apps. Of course, do not think of putting it up that does not work too well.

UPDATED: As they tell us in TwitterThere is another way that does not require as much skill with the mouse or the touchpad. It would try to click on the menu (top left) and type "Plank." We will see that "Plank Preferences" appears. This will lead us to the same thing we have seen in the previous video.

Perfect, I did not know how to do it, in my case I did not want to move it, what I wanted was to put the icons larger, since by default they come very small. Thanks for the input.
