KDE Gear 22.08.2 arrives correcting more than 100 bugs to improve the productivity of its set of apps

KDE Gear 22.08.2

Today, Thursday, a KDE release was scheduled. yes two days ago they gave us a new version of Plasma, today they have done the same with their set of applications. The main difference between the two releases, apart from the fact that they are totally different software, is that last Tuesday's introduced a new series with new functions, while what they gave us today es KDE Gear 22.08.2, the second maintenance update to the August 2022 suite.

So let no one look for a list of what's new with frills, neither from KDE nor from us. If we can say that a total of 133 bugs, and, not to vary, the one that has stayed the most has been Kdenlive, the video editor that, although it is true that it did less in the past, it is also true that it had better times where it was more stable. 39 fixes in a month may not sound like much, but things change when you consider that figure is just under 30% of the total number of patches released this October.

KDE Gear 22.08.2 is the second point update in the 22.08 series.

Kalendar has been another application that has received love this month, and KDE has corrected a total of 20 bugs for its calendar. Along with him, in second place kitinerary has tied, where another 20 bugs have been corrected. The rest of the fixes are distributed in software such as Kate (4), Gwenview (3) or Falkon (2), and also in other less well-known software such as kdepim-addons (12). The intention is to polish things up, something they will continue to do next month with KDE Gear 22.08.3. In December they will release KDE Gear 22.12 with new features.

KDE Gear 22.08.2 is available from this afternoon, and new packages will arrive sooner (or should) in KDE neon. If nothing happens, they should soon arrive in the project's backports repository as well. They will reach the rest of the Linux distributions depending on their philosophy and development model.
