The keyboard is a great tool not only for our Ubuntu but for any operating system. Although using the touch screen or the classic mouse may seem to speed up many processes, the truth is that using the keyboard keys we tend to work faster and more productively. Without forgetting that certain elements we cannot do with the touch screen or with mouse clicks.
Here we show you a series of keyboard shortcuts that will be useful in our day-to-day work with Ubuntu 18.04, with Gnome, with the terminal or with any other Ubuntu application.
General Shortcuts
Ctrl + Q -> Close the active application
Ctrl + A -> Select all
Ctrl + S -> Save the document or changes made
Ctrl + P -> Print the document
Ctrl + C -> Copy selected content
Ctrl + V -> Paste the contents of the clipboard
Ctrl + X -> Cut selected content
Keyboard Shortcuts with Gnome
Ctrl + Alt + Spacebar -> Restart Gnome

Alt + F4 -> Close current window
Alt + Tab -> Toggle between windows
Ctrl + Alt + F1 -> Switch to first terminal or tty1 (no graphics mode)

Ctrl + C -> Kill the current or running process.
Ctrl + U -> Delete current line
Tab -> Complete the word according to the files that exist in the directory
These are not all the keyboard shortcuts out there but Yes, they are the most useful shortcuts that will help us to be faster and more effective in Ubuntu 18.04. Many of them can also be applied to the official Ubuntu flavors although those related to Gnome will not work quite well.
In two windows of the same program ALT + TAB does not work (for example two firefox windows). What other option is there
It can be done with ALT + º but it is a bit annoying to change depending on whether you want to change within the same application or not. Can't you make ALT + TAB work?
Thank you
