There are already several weeks in a row in which there are no surprises in the development of the Linux kernel. Linus Torvalds, who is in charge of the most important versions (maintenance or "point" versions are in charge of others) says that Linux 5.2-rc3 is practically the same size as v5.2rc2, so we could say that it is news that there is calm in a wrong week. The correct week should have been a past week in which Was published a note so short and simple that Torvalds took the opportunity to mention a sporting event.
As we read in the informative note corresponding to the week of June 1-7, the normal thing is that the first Release Candidate is released, many bugs are found, they are corrected in the second and that the third is a quiet week. At the moment, it seems that Torvalds is hitting all the right keys in the development of the 5.2 series of the Linux kernel. Either that or what bugs in this version are small and / or hard to find.

Torvalds thinks next week might be busier, but he's enjoying the way things are going in Linux 5.2 development. And, it has to be said, I think I also prefer things to be "boring", which can translate into everything being perfect when the final version is released. Logically, all the calm of which they speak this week can turn into a storm if the failures appear then. Hopefully not.
