"Simply the best" is what Clement Lefevbre wants the next version of his operating system to be. Linux Mint 19.2 was announced yesterday and her code name will be "Tina" in a clear tribute to the famous singer. The new version is the next big release of one of the most popular Ubuntu-based operating systems and will continue to be based on the latest LTS version of the system developed by Canonical, that is, Ubuntu 18.04.

The exact date of its launch is not yet known, but it will include interesting news such as that Muffin, the Linux Mint window manager, will receive some performance improvements that will allow you to gain in smoothness, speed and fluidity. And, although in general the Lefevbre system is quite fluid, these types of improvements are always welcome, especially if we use a computer with limited resources.

Other new features included in Linux Mint 19.2 Tina

  • The update manager will also receive important changes.
  • The Blueberry applet for Bluetooth will allow users to connect and disconnect from connected devices with one click.
  • It is not decided, but it is likely that the new version of your logo.

Linux Mint 19.2, like previous versions, will be available in 32 and 64-bit versions. The desktops where we can download it will be MATE, Xfce and Cinnamon, the last of the three being the one that launched him to fame for being the one they started with. Not surprisingly, Cinnamon is the brainchild of Clement Lefevbre and his team.

Linux Mint 19.2 Tub will be released sometime this summer. Shortly before, like many other famous versions, they will launch a beta version so that any user can try what will be their next big release. Hopefully they don't disappoint Tina Turner and Linux Mint 19.2 is "Simply the best."

Linux Mint was a great find for me that I don't know much about OS but I learned thanks to its ease of use. Sarah made my life easy by connecting many peripherals that Windows could not. Thanks to the Ubuntu and Linux community for all this and congratulations for this tribute you give to such a great diva.
