Lubuntu also invites us to participate in its fundraising contest for Eoan Ermine

Last Tuesday we publish an article talking about the wallpaper contest that Ubuntu had launched for Eoan Ermine (19.10). The winners will appear in Ubuntu 19.10 and Ubuntu 20.04, as they have decided to add a "Best of" section in the Ubuntu wallpaper settings. It is more than likely that this contest will be more successful (participation) than the one we bring you today: Lubuntu He has also published an article inviting us to participate in his fund contest for the launch next October.

The participation bases of the Lubuntu contest are very similar to those of Ubuntu: those interested should upload their images in the thread they have opened in discourse.lubuntu.com. The uploaded has to be an own image with the highest possible quality and without any watermarks or logos. Images must be licensed under CC BY-SA 4.06 or CC BY 4.03.

Lubuntu Funding Contest Will End In September

The most notable difference between this contest and the Ubuntu one, apart from the fact that they are for different operating systems, is in the final size of the image: those in this contest must have a size 2560 × 1600 minimum, while those of the Ubuntu contest had to be at least 3840 × 2160. That will be the size that the winners will deliver; To participate in the contest you have to submit a smaller image so that the page is not too heavy.

Lubuntu doesn't yet know when its funding contest for Eoan Ermine will end, not its exact date. They say that they will close it at the beginning of September, but the exact date will depend on how many images have been delivered. As in Ubuntu, the winning images will appear as an option to choose them as wallpaper from the settings, I mention this because other contests, such as Plasma, did add the winning image by default in Plasma 5.16.

Will you enter the Lubuntu wallpaper contest for Eoan Ermine?
