Min Browser receives new features in its latest update

Min Browser

Nowadays there are already many web browsers and many of them offer many functions, but it is for something that they are all working to launch new browsers or to make existing ones work more fluently. As an example we have Servo, the browser in whose development Mozilla is an important part. If fluency is important to you and you can sacrifice other functions, the Min browser it is a very good option.

The project developers define the use of Min as "a more elegant and faster way to navigate." At least on my computer, which currently has the standard version of Ubuntu installed, that of "Fast" is true, especially when opening the application. While Firefox takes its time, Min opens much faster, so much so that I was surprised when I opened it to talk a bit about it in this post.

The new version includes the possibility of search any text on any page. Moreover, also includes actions which are used like DuckDuckGo's! bangs, commands that I use daily in the search engine that I have been using for years. Like these! Bangs, using Min's browser actions is as simple as typing the "!" (without the quotes ») followed by what we want to do. In addition to DuckDuckGo's! Bangs, the default engine used by this lightweight browser, these actions are available:

  • ! settings - open the settings.
  • ! back - go back.
  • ! forward - goes forward.
  • ! screenshot - takes a screenshot of the current tab.
  • ! clearhistory - clear history.
  • ! task - change to a task by name or number.
  • ! newtask - create a new task.
  • ! movetotask ”- moves from the current tab to a task.

Min 1.4 also includes Yandex As a search engine option, it has been updated to use Electron 1.2.7, uses the latest version of EasyList, and bug fixes have been added.
