This is the image that Firefox will have at the end of 2017

Next version of Firefox

Years ago, the modernity in the user interfaces of practically any operating system was reflected in the form of many ornaments, among which we could see 3D effects, shadows, etc. For a few years, the modern image is no longer what it was and now a flat image predominates, as we have already seen in Windows 8 (and Mobile), iOS 7 (and macOS) or the Material Design interface of Android Lollipop. Now, at the end of 2017 to be more exact, Mozilla is planning to launch a new version of its web browser Firefox which will have a more contemporary image.

This is how the German media has published it soaren-hentzschel.ht, where they have published several photos and videos that show us what the next version of Firefox will be like. According to the German media, there are 12 developers who are working full time on a project that is currently known as Project Photon, to which we must add 7 UX designers. Logically and as expected, Project Photon will not focus only on visual changes in the Firefox interface.

Project Photon: Firefox will release a new image at the end of 2017

At this time, we can know little or nothing about what will come with the new version of Mozilla's web browser, beyond that it will have a different image than what we can use right now. It is obvious as soon as you see the screenshots offered by the German medium that the rounded outline of the tabs and the general window has disappeared, giving way to some shapes with vertices that we can already see in other browsers such as Microsoft Edge. From the looks of it, Mozilla's intention is for Firefox to have the same image regardless of whether we use it on Windows, Linux, or Mac.

Among the novelties that we can see in the images we have, in addition to the more squared shapes, a "forward" button always visible, a new house near the refresh button on the main bar, the browser-centered bar or a new action menu accessible from the URL bar.

And when can we use "Photon"? Well, if there are no surprises, the new version, which would be one of the most important changes since 2014, will arrive in november, although we will be able to test it in beta from August. When the previews release, will you give it a try?

It seems to me a beautiful and clean interface, however I have stopped using it because it looks more and more like proprietary web browsers, especially after it included DRM
