Ocenaudio: an excellent multiplatform free audio editor

OceanAudio

Ocenaudio is a free and multiplatform application that gives us the possibility to carry out the editing audio in an easy and fast way. It has a wide range of features that are useful for the novice to the more advanced user.

This application is based on Ocen framework, a powerful library developed to simplify and standardize the development of multi-platform audio analysis and manipulation applications.

Application allows editing of effects in real time, It supports multiple platforms, multi-select for delicate edits, has efficient editing of large files, and a rich spectrogram.

Ocenaudio is the ideal program for people who need, edit and analyze audio files, without complications.

About Ocenaudio

Although in Linux we also have Audacity, this application is not intended to be a replacement, much less an alternative to it.

But is aimed at people who need something a little faster and lighter, and you don't need all the resources that some editing tools require.

It has a fairly intuitive interface since its interface only has a single window where the graph of the audio waves is shown so that the user can work on them and carry out the edition to their needs.

To which its creators in a few words argue:

The ocenaudio arose from a need felt by a research group from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - the LINSE: it's an easy-to-use audio editor with resources such as support for multiple file formats, spectral analysis and the generation of audio signals.

When developing the ocenaudio, we focused primarily on usability, presenting the user with a cohesive and intuitive set of audio editing and analysis functions.

Ocenaudio supports multiple audio files, allows you to preview these selections or edit several at the same time. You can even apply effects like echo, delay, or fade-in if you want to add a bit of post-production to your mixes or recordings.

How to install Ocenaudio on Debian, Ubuntu and derivatives?

For Windows 10 64-bit it's not bad, it's BAD. It is possible to install it, open the program, load sounds, but when trying to play them, the program freezes and nothing else happens, all that remains is to close it until Windows reacts and the "End application" screen appears. I submitted the problem report, but so far nothing. I tried downloading the program again, reinstalled and the same thing happened again. I stick with Audacity.
