OpenComic installation on Ubuntu

For its installation, we will have different possibilities. To start we will have to access the download section by OpenComic and in it choose our operating system and the package that we want to install.

For Ubuntu users and derivatives we will meet two possible easy installation options. We can choose between using a .deb package or the corresponding snap.

Using the .deb package

To start we will download the .deb file from its official page. We can also use the terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) for downloading and installation, with the following commands:

wget https://github.com/ollm/OpenComic/releases/download/v0.1.4/opencomic_0.1.4_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i opencomic_0.1.4_amd64.deb

These commands download and install OpenComic version 0.1.4. To confirm that this is the latest version, it is necessary to consult the download page indicated above.

Using the Ubuntu Software option

sudo apt remove --autoremove opencomic

With all of this in mind, OpenComic looks like a straightforward comic and manga reader. It can be very useful to all those users who want to be able to read their favorite manga using their desktop devices.
