Just like read In this week's newsletter from Canonical's Lucasz Zemczak, the evidence of the OTA-12 Ubuntu Touch are already coming to an end and things seem to be going quite well. There have been no problems and everything works as expected on almost all devices, with the exceptions of the Meizu PRO 5 and Ubuntu's first converged tablet, the BQ Aquaris M10, two devices that need their own tarball.
OTA-12 is scheduled for next Wednesday, July 20that is, within 8 days. Apparently, the small problem with the Meizu PRO 5 and the BQ Aquaris M10 will be solved by then and will come with more improvements than anything else, but there will also be some other novelty.
OTA-12 will arrive next week
If everything continues as before, we will be able to start the gradual update phase on Wednesday of next week.
With practically everything done for OTA-12, the Ubuntu Touch developers are already working on the next version, an OTA-13 that will be available after the summer. Like any software update, the OTA-13 will include many bug fixes that users have been reporting.
In addition to the fixes, the Ubuntu Touch OTA-13 will arrive with an updated power indicator for the new repowerd power manager, emergency numbers for the Chinese market have been added in the Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition and updated watch display server to version 0.23.3, enter other news.
What we have closer to is the launch of OTA-12 next week, at which time we will know all the news that will have been included in the new version. Keep in mind that the release will be gradualTherefore, if the update is not received instantly, you will have to keep trying until after 24 hours.
