As a Kubuntu user, I am pleased with this news: KDE has announced the release of Plasma 5.15.4, the fourth update of 5 of a Plasma 5.15 that was released in February. The change list It has up to 38 fixes, including a fix for a glXSwapBuffers-related issue with the NVIDIA driver. This is something that I think I have been experiencing myself for a few days now, as the image of my new laptop fails at times.

The other two fixed issues that stand out are one that was not allowing it to refresh during updates, and one that caused the crash dialog no longer to cut off text after rolling back. In other versions, KDE usually says that they have included a week's worth of work, so we understand that three weeks will have given them enough time to polish a lot plus the one that for me is the best graphical environment available for Linux.

Plasma 5.15.4 includes a total of 38 fixes

All the 38 fixes mentioned are distributed in Breeze, Discover, drkonqi, Plasma Addons, Info Center, KWin, pasma-browser-integration, Plasma Desktop, Plasma Networkmanager (plasma-nm), Plasma Workspace, SDDM KCM and System Settings.

As usual, that they have announced that a software is available does not mean that we can install it in the best way. By this I mean the packages are now ready, but to install them right now you would have to do it manually. The packages will be arriving in the KDE repositories soon, but they are not available yet.

We must also remember that anyone who wants to install these other Plasma updates have to add the repositories with the following command:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports

Otherwise, the operating system will stay on an older version of Plasma, but this is not always a bad thing when we consider that these versions are more stable. I who am on Plasma 5.15.3 can only say that I am impatient.

The only thing that does not quite fit me with Plasma, is that it does not have 100% of the programs with the translation in Spanish !! (Speaking of Arch Linux at least !!)
