Plasma 5.18.0, now available the great launch we were waiting for

Today is an important day for all of us who use the KDE graphical environment. The project has launched plasma 5.18.0, a version that comes with many great changes that make us think that it is the most important release to date. The v5.16 introduced many new features, such as a new notification system, but this 5.18 introduces even many more changes, among which performance and interface improvements have also been included.

Speaking of notifications, I would like to mention something that I am looking forward to trying. It is a function that they promised weeks ago, but that I personally have not been able to test yet because, although the launch is official, has not yet reached Discover. I'm talking about a small detail that will make any notification that we hover over will be marked as read and will not appear in the registry. Here's a list of what's new in Plasma 5.18.0.

As we've already mentioned, the release is official now, but it hasn't come to Discover yet. It will do so in the next few hours, as long as we have added the KDE Backports repository or let's use an operating system with special repositories like KDE neon. At the moment you can install it, enjoy it.
