System76 continues with the development and release of its new distribution, Pop! _OS, a distribution that will use not only Elementary OS but also Ubuntu 17.10 as the basis for the new distribution.
System76 is collaborating with the Elementary OS team to use the Elementary OS installer to create a quick and easy setup to install. Nevertheless, Pop! _OS will have an Ubuntu 17.10 base, incorporating all the new features that this version will bring by default.
Increasing the volume on the computer will be one of the new functions that Pop! _OS will inherit from Ubuntu 17.10. Distributions do not normally allow to increase the volume exceeding 100%However, Gnome allows you to do this and Ubuntu 17.10 will have this function, so Pop! _OS will also have it.

System76 is also working on other features to add to its distribution. Among these functions is the inclusion of a real-time chat to help developers or real-time firmware update, a function that should be in Ubuntu 17.10, but that System76 ensures that it will be in its new distribution.
System76 will release Pop! _OS at the end of fall of this year, that is, we cannot have a stable version of this operating system yet.
